How to find your MAC address

A MAC (Media Access Control) address is a
unique identification number assigned to
devices, such as a NIC or router. Your NIC
has a unique MAC address that WOWACCESS
utilizes to validate your computer and
control access to our network, and the
Internet.
The MAC will look like this
00:00:00:00:00:00, it will have a total of
twelve numbers and letters - separated in
pairs by :
Follow the instructions below to find your
MAC address.

On Windows 2000 and XP computers: |
|
|
From the Windows Desktop:
|
-
Go to Start, then to Run
-
Type in cmd and press OK
-
This will bring you to the Windows
System command prompt.
-
At the C:\> Prompt, type ipconfig /all
and press enter.
-
Look for the Physical Address - which is
the MAC address.
-
At the C:\> Prompt, type exit
and press enter to close
the window.

On Windows 95, 98 and ME computers:

From the Windows Desktop:
|
-
Go to Start, then to Run
-
Type in winipcfg and press enter
-
From the dropdown list, find your
network card.
-
Find the Adapter Address which is the
MAC address.
-
Press OK to close window.

On Macintosh computers:
|
|
-
From the Apple Menu Items, access
Control Panels.

From Control Panels dialog box, access
the TCP/IP control panel.

With the TCP/IP Control Panel selected,
go to the File menu and select Get

Broadband
